If you have a Website of your own - or even just a collection of Web pages - you are welcome to link these to this site (the URL to link to is: http://www.2aida.org/). To facilitate the process - we have created a simple line of HTML code. To make use of this all you need to do is copy this into one of your Web pages. This will then display a small AIDA 'awards' icon on your Web page together with a link to this site.
The html code is:
To copy this code all you need to do is highlight it - and then either press CTRL-C or right mouse click on the highlighted text and select Copy. You can then paste the text into a notebook or WordPad - for saving and later copying & pasting onto your Web page.
The icon looks like this:
Please note: if you want to copy the icon to store it locally on your server, you need to move the mouse cursor over the icon and then right mouse click on the icon, and select "Save Picture As..." to save the icon on your hard disk. Once you have uploaded the icon to your server / Website you will then need to modify the single line of HTML code given above to reflect the new location for the icon file. The HTML code would then read:
where your.Web.server.com/path above is the URL (address) and path to the icon at your Website. Should you have any queries about setting up such a link, please do not hesitate to contact us via the on-line AIDA contact form.
Clearly if an icon such as that shown above would not fit in with your own Website design, a simple HTML text link could work equally effectively. However if making use of a simple HTML text link, it would be much appreciated if the text link could say a bit more than just 'AIDA'! :-) Obviously while this is fine for people who know what AIDA is all about, it isn't that informative for visitors who may not. Therefore, if we can express a preference, something like 'AIDA freeware interactive educational diabetes simulator' would be ideal as the text for a link. Alternatively, check out some of our AIDA Website Logos for other images / graphics that could be used to link to this site. Incidentally, whatever sort of link you might set up, if you do add to your Website a link to the AIDA site, please click on it to check it works as intended - i.e. that the HTML syntax is ok!
We are keen to also establish the AIDA Mirror Sites - http://www.2aida.net & http://www.2aida.info - and therefore would request that if possible you please also include links to http://www.2aida.net/ (please note .net [dot net] at end of URL) and http://www.2aida.info/ (please note .info [dot info] at end of URL).
In this respect, if you really want to do the most to help AIDA with your links, please feel free to set up three links! One to:
AIDA freeware interactive educational diabetes simulator @ http://www.2aida.orgwith a second to:
AIDA on-line free Web-based educational diabetes simulator @ http://www.2aida.netand a third to:
Diabetes / Insulin Tutorial @ http://www.2aida.infoThank you.
