GAR = glucose absorption rate; cho = carbohydrate; NHGB = net hepatic glucose balance; RBC = red blood cell; IIGU = insulin independent glucose utilisation; AG = arterial plasma glucose; PGU = peripheral glucose utilisation; BG = blood glucose; UGER = urinary glucose excretion rate.
